Why no iTunes or download?
We've been asked a few times about whether the song is available for digital download and Dick Stone, Programme Director explains why it ins't on iTunes or available for download:

"When we began this project, we had a choice to make- do we want to go for a chart placing song, or raise as much money as possible? We could have attempted to do both, but the fundraising for the charity would have been compromised. The reason is down to price. An iTunes download is either 79p or 99p, meaning once Apple have their slice, the amount for the charity is reduced still further. We would have been able to sell more copies it's true, but not enough to compensate for the reduction in the charity money. So, we decided at the outset that the main objective was to raise money for charity, so that tied us to CD sale only. We set the price point of £3 for the CD which ensures the charities get a decent slice each and the single is affordable for those who wish to purchase it.

A few people have asked about putting the song on iTunes at a later date, but I think having released the song and many have made the effort to purchase the CD, it would be unfair to now place it on iTunes at a reduced cost- again for the above reasons and also out of fairness to those who have already bought it."
